Search Car Manufactures Join The Fight Against Covid-19

Ever since the pandemic hit, the automotive industry is responding in more ways than offering financial help to their current and new customers. The manufacturer’s listed are giving back to the community, focusing on their corporate social responsibilities during these uncertain times. They understand that they have the responsibility to step up and help their communities in taking action against the virus.

Chrysler continues their partnerships with No Kid Hungry. With every Pacifica sold they will help provide food for children in need. Nationwide school closings create an issue for many children that rely on school for healthy meals.

Ford joins forces with 3M, GE healthcare, and UAW to help with the production of medical equipment and supplies. Ford will use their engineering and manufacturing ability to supply a variety of supplies for essential workers and ventilators for patients that are sick with COVID-19.

GM converts their Kokomo, Indiana locations to focus on the production of ventilators and the faculty at Warren, Michigan will focus on the production of surgical masks. Also, GM addresses community critical needs by directing $2.6 million in grant funding to NPOs in the United States.

Nissan is using their Tennessee, Michigan, and Mississippi production facilities to produce headbands and assemble protective face shields for healthcare workers.

Subaru is taking this time to support other helpers in the community. They are participating with Meals On Wheels to help our senior neighbors be safe and nourished.

Honda responds to COVID-19 with a pledge to their communities and customers. They are participating in donations to food banks and meal programs across North America and by supporting healthcare workers with a variety of help.

Hyundai participates in this fight with their Hope on Wheels program. This program supports children by giving over $4 million to 22 children’s hospitals in the U.S.

Volkswagen gives all their dealerships the responsibility to help out. They are using their loaner fleet of vehicles to deliver supplies to food banks. Also, they are collaborating with Faurecia NA to manufacturer supplies needed for the front lines.

Kia joins the fight by converting their plant in West Point, GA to produce face shields for medical facilities in Georgia, New York, and Los Angeles. Their Accelerate the Good Program is also donating money to homeless youth programs to give them a fighting chance.
